So yes, I am a bleeding heart liberal. And yes, I realize that a dragon is not a person, but when you draw what resembles very strongly a Chinese dragon in a children’s book, and then name him Ching-Chung:
I become very unhappy. And this is a reprint of an older book. Did no one think Hmmm…. this is our chance to go with a less racist sounding name?
In any case, wikipedia tells me that Tianlong is a heavenly, celestial dragon. So I got my Sharpie out and:

ugh… this is the worst. I wish there was a comment system for books wherein you could pass feedback like this on. However, you finding Tianlong did make me think of Naomi Novik’s Temeraire novels (Napoleonic War + Dragons). Probably not at all your style, reading-wise, but great fun nonetheless (and much more appropriate and non-racist, to boot!)

No promises, but I will try one of those dragon books. I often read books for people like my mum or my sisters to see whether I should buy them as presents. The dragons + history story might be good for my mum. She really likes fantasy like that.
