Today I got three compliments! Not about writing, but about general work-preparedness and teaching, which is still pretty good, especially after feeling so down about myself lately. And Geoff sent me a picture of capybaras, which are the animal I am most likely to become (rodent, low to the ground, enjoys sitting in pools, etc.).

So take that intrusive thoughts and anxiety. Maybe I’m not so lousy after all.
