Going to go for non-fiction in the Classics Club this time, since I don’t read too much non-fiction.
- The Jungle by Upton Sinclair
- Eichmann in Jerusalem by Hannah Arendt
- Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee by Dee Brown
- The Gulag Archipelago by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn
- A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking
- Confessions by Jean-Jacques Rousseau
- All The President’s Men by Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward
- Survival in Auschwitz by Primo Levi
- The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas by Gertrude Stein
- The People’s History of the United States by Howard Zinn
- Backlash by Susan Faludi
- Sister Outsider by Audre Lord
- Notes of a Native Son by James Baldwin
- A Supposedly Fun Thing I’ll Never Do Again by David Foster Wallace
- Silent Spring by Rachel Carson
- Confessions of an English Opium Eater by Thomas De Quincey
- Goodbye To All That by Robert Graves
- The Man Died by Wole Soyinka
- The Golden Bough by James Charles Frazer
- Slouching Towards Bethlehem by Joan Didion
This was hard. I’m not great with non-fiction and I don’t have the mind for anything too philosophical. So we’ll see. Let’s hope the odds are ever in my favour and the random number generator will give me a book that I’ll enjoy reading.
